In my first year as a Town of Bassendean Councillor it has been so busy that it seems like five years. Naturally, I have attended to the complex business at all the Standing and Ordinary Council Meetings. I serve on 13 internal or external Committees and am a Regional Delegate from Bassendean to the Eastern Metropolitan Regional Council (EMRC) and the Metropolitan Waste Advisory Council. |

Helping the environment |
You may have seen the article on “Lighting the way for recycling” In the May..June No 62 Bassendean Briefing. HHW (hazardour home waste) like the new energy saving globes and batteries can usually be deposited at the Town's depot in Scadden St twice a year, on the first Saturday in June & December. (This year: June 6 2009 and December 5 2009) |
